Did you know you could cook crispy chicken wings in your air fryer? Well you do now. Here's how to cook these banging Korean Chicken Wings. Gochujang is a fermented Korean chilli bean paste, you can now find this in most supermarkets. Trust me its well worth hunting some down.

Ingredients

  • 8 chicken wings split into drums and flats
  • 1 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. black pepper
  • 2 tbsp. corn flour
  • 1 tbsp. garlic and ginger paste
  • 1 tbsp. gochujang
  • 1 tbsp. soft brown sugar
  • 2 tbsp. dark soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp. black rice vinegar
  • 1 tsp. sesame seeds
  • Fresh chives chopped

Method

  1. Pop the chicken wings into a bowl, along with the salt, pepper and cornflour, then give it a good toss until the wings are completely coated. Place onto the crisp plate within your air, fryer drawer, spray with oil and Cooke at 200°c for 16 minutes shaking halfway through.
  2. While the wings are cooking, fry the garlic and ginger in a splash of oil for 2 to 3 minutes. Adding the gochujang, sugar, soy sauce and vinegar, bring up to a simmer until all the ingredients are fully combined, then toss through the wings. Finally serve with the scattering of sesame seeds and fresh chives.
